nSummary Description n

n

The Sr. Technical Support Representative helps ensure proper technology operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes actively troubleshooting, testing, documenting, and resolving issues. Resolution may involve the coding, testing, implementing or installing software, interacting with vendors and partners, automation and scripting, or systems administration tasks. Individuals may be required to give in-person, hands-on help to users.

The Bank operates using a cross team functional method. This position will report to a single manager, but take direction on daily tasks from their assigned team.

nRESPONSIBILITIES:

n

nStrategy & Planning n

n

n

+ Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes

n

+ Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

n

+ Work with business team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues

n

+ Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications

n

+ Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals

n

+ Participates in planning relevant project, enhancement and maintenance activities

n

+ Align technical implementations with requirements at an appropriate relation of effort to value

nAcquisition & Deployment n

+ Assist in software releases and roll-outs and communication to the end users

n

+ Perform software improvements and upgrades

n

+ Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

n

+ Work with team to accurately forecast timing and efforts of work

n

+ Document the company's existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives

nOperational Management n

+ Complete all tasks with a focus on quality

+ Meet or exceed established SLOs

n

+ Provide guidance to less experienced members of the team

n

+ Work both in teams and independently on assigned tasks

n

+ Work with distributed teams and remote team members and customers

n

+ Collaborate with different areas of IT and the business in order to provide solutions for the Bank

n

+ Develop and execute test plans to check applications, infrastructure and systems technical performance

n

+ Build rapport and elicit problem details from customers

n

+ Provide timely reports on the status of projects as well as any unforeseen issues to management and to business units

n

+ Comply with all assigned administrative and operational tasks

n

+ Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting

n

+ Ac ess software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in problem resolution

n

+ Works to promote an understanding of business process and business requirements with technical staff

n

+ Aware of best practice techniques and continuous improvement

n

+ Provide valuable input on process improvements

n

+ Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization

n

+ Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved

n

+ Adhere to established policies, standards and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Bank systems and data

n

+ Provide on-call support of bank applications

n

+ Other duties as required

nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: n

n

nFormal Education & Certification n

n

n

+ College diploma or university degree or 7 years equivalent work experience

n

+ Certifications in multiple technologies preferred

n

+ AWS Certification

n

+ Linux Certification


n

n

nKnowledge & Experience n

n

n

+ Minimum 7 years work experience

n

+ Working knowledge of network, PC, and thin client operating systems

n

+ Experience Agile/Scrum development

n

+ Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for application platforms

n

+ Experience directly assisting customers and resolving their issues

n

+ Experience troubleshooting technical issu
