What you will do:

  • Enable a squad to deliver with "Garage Method" XP Agile development.

  • The The Squad Leader will provide technical guidance in cloud native responsive web application, mobile application and/or Microservices development.

  • Closely collaborate with the other squads in the Analytics platform for project plans and coordinate with other digital platforms to manage cross platform dependencies.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to a dynamic and diverse development team

  • Be a technical leader in the delivery of development projects

  • Be an advocate for the Cloud Garage Method and provide guidance on the application of the method in client projects

  • Have full stack developer with practical backend experience with Java/Spring Boot, API Management and javascript frontend frameworks such as Angular. Java depth is critical.

  • Have experience developing cloud-native applications that have gone to production, with site reliability engineering and CI/CD DevOps automation.

  • Hands on experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).

  • Ability to mentor and teach a squad comprised of developers and product owners how to build a cloud-native product with the IBM Cloud Garage Method (Design-driven eXtreme Programming).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 3 years experience leading a squad of developers providing technical guidance in cloud native responsive web application, mobile application and/or Microservices development.

  • At least 5 years of experience working collaboratively with Product Managers to prioritize, groom the backlog, and coordinate with other squads and program leadership.

  • Able to communicate the product vision, hills and stories.

  • At least 3 years of experience working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery processes and tool automation

  • Previous Consulting Experience

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development techniques preferred

  • Experience with TDD preferred Experience with Pair Programming highly preferred

  • Knowledge of Bluemix PaaS (Cloud Foundry) preferred
