Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chica Sourcing & Value Analysis Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois
Sourcing & Value Analysis Coordinator assists and supports the Strategic Sourcing & Value Analysis teams by researching, monitoring and maintaining accuracy of contract data, contract documents and Value Analysis requests. Also serves to assist in all aspects of day-to-day operations of Strategic Sourcing and Value Analysis by serving as initial point of contact for customers on requests for new products and contracts. Assists with product conversions maintaining Sourcing Work Plan and Value analysis initiatives.
Utilize GPO and Hospital based tools to enroll in contract tier levels and overall GPO participation to ensure organization is receiving maximum value from the GPO.
Assist with identifying and cataloging existing local contracts & building contract price files.
Completes contract/product cost resolution by performing research and resolving price discrepancies.
Collaborates with the Supply Chain Business Systems Operations teams to ensure timely processing of new item add requests and item maintenance in the ERP system.
Monitors and responds to all departmental email box correspondence from both internal stakeholders and external vendor inquiries.
Monitors and reviews all New Product Requests presented by operational leaders throughout the Medical Center.
Actively supports the goals of all multidisciplinary Value Analysis Committees in the identification, evaluation and selection of products to promote standardization and cost savings for all supplies and equipment throughout the Medical Center.
Serves as the initial point of contact on behalf of any Sourcing and Value Analysis inquiries. Participates and assists in the coordination of product conversions and other product related initiatives.
Tracks and monitors all Value Analysis initiatives with consultation and direction from both the Clinical Value Analysis Manager and the Sourcing team members.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or five years progressive work experience in Supply Chain.
Required: Three years progressive work experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing or Value Analysis preferred. Healthcare experience required.
Required: Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO). Working knowledge of GPO systems and supply/equipment related contracts.
Required: Working knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft windows operating system and applications.
Preferred: Proficiency in Infor-Lawson with an emphasis in Supply Chain business systems.
Required: Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Ability to articulate facts and ideas clearly and concisely. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and clearly articulate potential solutions.
Required: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Capable of working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, group process facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution while interacting with all levels of the organization.
Required: Excellent facilitation and project management skills. Must be able to prioritize, organize and assess work in order to meet aggressive deadlines and cope in fast-paced environment.
Required: Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to patient health information (PHI) or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). 10. Demonstrates proficiency in Contracting and Supply Chain Operations knowledge.
