The Developer assumes an instrumental role as part of a diverse and international team and is a key contributor in many facets of a fast-growing segment of our company with the primary assignment focusing on software development on commercial products offered by Glory.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in the full life-cycle of software projects, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and support; such projects will focus on enhancing the business applications of Glory’s industry leading cash automation equipment.

  • Designs and develops individual components for software projects; works independently on projects and functions as the technical authority on modules responsible for.

  • Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects.

  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

  • Interacts with Glory software support engineers to provide support for software acceptance processes.

  • May work on elements of large, complex installations (as needed to support the business).

  • Other assignments will include consulting with customers on custom projects

  • Flexibility to travel within the US (less than 10% of the time).

Education & Qualification

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 2 – 4 years of IT work experience preferably in programming.

  • Exposure to Banking or Finance Industry preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions

  • Proficient with current programming language and technologies:

  • Excellent programming skills; especially in Java and JavaScript.

  • Experience with SQL databases and reporting engines.

  • Experience with Java Enterprise Application Servers

  • Familiarity with React or AngularJS is a plus

  • Experience with Cloud Services is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Acts with a sense of urgency and is results oriented, marked by high personal standards and commitment

  • Confident (knows when to seek input and when to make own decisions)

  • Good command of the English language is essential.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
