Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer with solid experience in architecting new features and driving the technical design for our main pharmacy application. We're in the exciting and rapidly growing consumer healthcare industry which requires constant innovation, rigorous quality, and iteration. As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer you will work closely with backend engineers and product designers to deliver high impact features and UX to our end users, as well as mentoring other frontend engineers and establishing best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership in building scalable and performant applications, with a desire to collaborate and assist other developers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable frontend code.

  • Collaborate with product team members to develop great user experiences.

  • Partner with backend developers to plan new features and manage API contracts.

  • Work with analytics, monitoring and error tracking systems to ensure visibility into the system.

  • Participate in technical discussions and perform code reviews for other frontend team members.

  • Participate in standups, planning, retrospectives and other sprint meetings.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with React

  • Strong expertise consuming RESTful APIs

  • Strong expertise with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, ECMAScript 6

  • Experience with modern React development practices such as context and hooks

  • Experience with frontend state management solutions

  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

  • An openness and enthusiasm for continued learning and finding the right tool for the job

Desired experience in one or more of the following areas

  • TypeScript development including advances usages such as generics

  • Configuring development tools such as Babel, Webpack, Prettier, etc.

  • Configuring automated workflow tools like CircleCI

  • Using component library documentation tools like Storybook
