How will you make an impact?

The Sr. Application Engineer will partner with our Technical Product Managers and SAFe development teams to transform user stories into deployed reality. You'll be working with technologies from the physical devices to the edge to the cloud in designing solutions to our customers' biggest challenges. You'll provide deep domain expertise and technical leadership to our teams to design and implement connectivity solutions. You will also provide input and leadership to our device R&D teams to ensure new products seamlessly integrate with our connectivity solutions and are 'born digital'. Your ideas and solutions will affect hundreds of product lines and thousands of customers.

What will you do?

  • Provide technical and applications leadership in the creation of Instrument Health and Asset Performance Management solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership to HW, FW, and SW engineers as part of the overall development process.

  • Work with cross functional teams through direct interactions and team meetings in developing and translating new concepts into applications.

  • Lead and participate in formal design reviews of application architectures, data strategies, UI/UX, as well as FMEA, DFM, DFT, and other related analyses.

  • Develop design concepts or models, oversee prototype and MVP technical development, and conduct performance testing to determine practical feasibility of concepts.

  • Directly work with customers to understand key technical requirements and incorporate those requirements into product and solution designs.

  • Develop requirements and prototypes for new technology evaluations and specific product applications, utilizing sound design, documentation, and qualification practices

  • Travel can be 25-50% to customer sites, global travel.

How will you get here?


Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Systems Engineering. Master's Degree a plus


  • 10+ years of experience related to development of, or customer facing deployment of, asset performance management and digital service applications.

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and/or implementing APM and connected service solutions.

  • Experience integrating with other common customer applications such as EAM, CMMS, MES, etc.

  • Experience bridging Agile and Waterfall development methods to deliver products to market.

  • Experience in design of complex software.

  • Experience in design/deployment of end to end APM solutions in other industries.

  • Working knowledge of languages such as C, C++, QML, Python, Bash.

  • Working knowledge of various protocols including UDP, HTTP, TCP/IP, MQTT etc

  • Working knowledge of various deployment architectures and their overall implications in Software design, including hybrid and edge/fog solutions.
