Duties and Responsibilities
The person in this position will work in our mouse genetics project. The primary responsibilities of the technician include breeding mice, marking them, and weaning them at 3 weeks of age. The mice will then develop until they are 16 weeks old when they will be necropsied. This involves removing internal organs and excising the vertebral column for future study. Most of the time will involve working with the mice and keeping the records required. Training for these tasks will be carried out by the PI and other staff as appropriate.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field and zero-one year of related experience.

BS (or BA) and research experience is preferred

Computer Skills
Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized records is essential. These records are maintained using Microsoft Office, WORD and EXCEL.
