Comcast QA Analyst 3 - 2318 in Chicago, Illinois
DUTIES: Contribute to the QA team responsible for testing and validating software applications; use Agile methodologies to perform software QA testing, including functional and automation testing; create automated test scripts and test cases within the functional testing cycle by using Test Complete and Test Execute; execute test cases and stories within sprints; maintain the test execution process and track the traceability within user stories by using Test Rail; perform regression and smoke testing; perform defect management by tracking and reporting software defects using ALM and JIRA; triage test issues with product owners and technical leads by evaluating the impact of failure cases on the business; collaborate with the product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements; review and verify requirements and design specifications for validity in the overall product design; map user stories and requirements to ensure features are tested with proper test coverage; ensure the proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts; participate in design, code, and functional product reviews; identify, reproduce, and document bugs and defects; estimate story points by providing QA estimates; and assist product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and two (2) years of experience using Agile methodologies to perform software QA testing, including functional and automation testing; creating test cases; and performing defect management by tracking and reporting software defects.
