This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Day-to-Day Role:Uses analytical troubleshooting skills to make repairs and corrections based on observation of equipment in operation and product defectsDismantles defective machinery and equipment to gain access to problem area or to install new or repaired partsInspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems. Repairs or replaces defective partsRealigns and adjusts machine componentsTests machines following repairs to ensure good product quality prior to returning machine to serviceInspects used parts to determine if they meet acceptable standards for use in equipment.Repairs and maintains physical structure of facilityAssists in training lower level mechanicsPerforms preventive maintenance functionsAssists in fabricating partsOrders parts as required and uses computerized maintenance system to keep accurate maintenance records.Assists in rebuilding and overhaul of machineryFollows all safety, GMP's and BRC guidelines and company plant rulesPerforms other duties as assignedCore Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:Three (3) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systemsBasic knowledge of electrical systemsAbility to provide a set of basic mechanic's hand tools to functionAbility to diagnose and analyze mechanical problemsAbility to enter information or data on maintenance software to order partsAbility to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometersAbility to work 1st shift hours (7:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.)Ability to work overtime when necessaryAbility to work weekends when requiredGood attendance is a condition of employmentDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues Dart Container is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
