Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Position Highlights:

The Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer position develops new software applications and update and modify existing applications. The incumbent works with the business to customize/update highly complex software for computer programs, designs prototype applications, implements and tests source code, troubleshoots software applications and effectively execute the development plan. This position is Grant funded.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Configuration Tools such as Terraform and Ansible to build and maintain infrastructure in public clouds such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.

  • Work with web application and mobile development teams to build cloud infrastructure for new functionality.

  • Use Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools in the cloud such as Git, Jenkins, AWS Code Build, Azure DevOps etc to develop and release applications.

  • Install and maintain Kubernetes clusters in AWS and Azure.

  • Build and Deploy Containers using Docker on Kubernetes in AWS and Azure.

  • Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices and procedures.

  • Familiar with cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs and recommendations.

  • Provides support and follow-up for issues.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor degree.

  • 7 years of experience on building and managing Cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure or GCP.

  • Multicloud Experience is preferred.

  • Strong background in Cloud Computing, Networking, DevOps and Security.

  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise tools such as Active Directory/LDAP, VMware vSphere and SSO/SAML.

  • Security, Privacy, and Regulatory/HIPAA Compliance Healthcare Environment Experience

  • Experience with Active Directory and Identity Providers such as Azure AD or Okta.

  • Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters.

  • Experience with SAS Viya Clusters is helpful.

  • In-depth knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, Subnet, VLAN - Creation/Segregation, Load Balancing and VPN tunneling.

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

  • Analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
