JPMorgan Chase Java Software Engineer - Kafka - Cassandra in Chicago, Illinois

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Understanding of software architecture and system design
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Passionate about building an innovative culture
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
Required: Strong Java skills, recent versions of JDK (1.9 at least), Java EE
Understanding of CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins, BitBucket)
Understanding of code quality tools (i.e. static/dynamic/open source scans)
Preferred skills/experience: Cloud development, Kafka, Cassandra, microservices
Nice-to-have skills: WebSphere (or similar app server), Kubernetes
Comfortable with Agile Scrum methodologies
