We are looking to add a Field Service Technician in the Chicago, IL area to our team in a full-time, non-exempt position.
The Field Service Technician will provide direct field service support of pay-per-view, satellite TV systems, and high-speed internet for SONIFI's hotel customers. As part of a team, the candidate must be proficient with computers to provide system software and hardware upgrades, have the ability to learn quickly, provide strong customer service and work independently. In addition, you must have a valid driver’s license and be available for scheduled on-call rotations and possible swing shift on weekends. Ability to solve complex problems is critical.
What you’ll need:
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in the following field(s): CATV, MATV, Satellite TV, Telecom, and some Networking. In addition, must have at least two years of related field service experience.
Proficiency in head-end, RF, telecom, digital TV, computer troubleshooting.
Valid driver’s license and good driving habits.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Must have excellent communication skills and outstanding customer awareness skills.
Ability to work independently.
