Brief Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect (EA) level position within the Business Engagement and Strategy (BE&S) - Enterprise Architecture team.

You will be an individual contributor providing strong architectural (business & technical), and organizational leadership. You will be required to develop and drive business solutions for Oracle s Lines of Business ensuring that the technical solutions being created align and meet with the business and corporate objectives.

This is a senior position, reporting to Senior Director of GIT Enterprise Architecture

  • This role is focused on Global IT's partnership with our internal Lines of Business.

  • This is in support of the Global IT vision in being the Biggest Adopter / Biggest Influencer of Oracle Technology. And standing on the shoulders of others.

  • Would be responsible for alignment to Global IT delivering on its vision and mandates.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the GIT Executive Leadership team at the portfolio and program level to drive approved value streams and capabilities.

  • Contributing within Portfolio SAFe to ensure projects approved align with the Global IT strategic vision.

  • Participate in roadmap and budget planning across services and value streams.

  • Drive PMO changes to achieve the GIT 2.0 vision; including the implementation of SAFe with realignment of the current portfolios and staffing requirements.

  • Lead continued improvement in project/program delivery through best in class tools, processes and organizational structure/staffing that evolves and matures project management as a professional discipline at Oracle.

  • Support and mentor both internal GIT and external organizations across Oracle on Global IT PMO project processes activities, dependencies and environments to establish broader visibility and opportunities for successful delivery of project objectives.

  • Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy

  • Drive innovation and technology to meet business needs and provide strategic advantage

  • Analyze business and technical requirements and trends to define technical strategy with approximate 15 year scope

  • Thought leader and mentor to other members of staff

  • Collaborate with other experts within Global IT, Oracle, and the industry including public speaking and publications

  • Lead Communities of Practice s (CoP)

  • Lead and/or or support investigations of potentially relevant new technology

  • Review architectures and designs for compliance with technical vision, strategy, roadmap and security standards

  • Act as subject matter expert as needed in areas of specialization or expertise

  • Support sales and marketing teams with customer inquiries on our practices and strategy

  • Develop and evangelize technical vision and help define product direction

  • Lead the development and delivery of roadmaps and strategy

*Job Requirements

  • 12 years of experience as an Architect with exposure to Enterprise Implementations within an IT framework.

  • Agile, Scrum and Lean a plus

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience

  • Experienced in delivery of complex global projects/programs with an understanding of Agile, Waterfall and Adaptive project management.

  • Experience in Oracle IT processes and procedures

  • SAFe, ITSM / ITIL v3 training, TOGAF a plus

  • Strong ability to self manage to a set of goals and objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical details and derive accurate high level conclusions

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively convey ideas through oral and written communications

  • Demonstrated ability to extrapolate solid long-term strategy from short-term requirements and trends

  • Demonstrated strengths in communication, negotiation, persuasion, collaboration and teamwork

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, manage and lead quickly and effectively through change and shifting priorities

  • Ability to think laterally and constructively question established process

  • Strong negotiation, organization and decision-making skills

  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
