This includes POS systems; menu applications, store/item master data and the underlying restaurant technology platform. Lead a team of 4+ software development managers with 25+ software development engineers and 2 Project Managers in delivery of the ADLC of our end-to-end Restaurant Technology engineering and experience. Own the strategic relationship with 3rd party vendors that provide 20+ squads of software development engineering. Partner with the Product Management team on the tactical management of these vendors. Own the standards of quality, speed and delivery along with the associated performance for these vendors. Partner with Product Management in the vision and lead the execution of a transformative roadmap of platform/capability delivery, innovation, quality and DevOps maturity. Share responsibility with Product Management for building reusable and scalable components. Share input on overall technological architecture of the products to Technology Architecture Leaders. Lead efforts to drive continuous improvement in delivery speed, quality, value and applied innovation. Provide the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality. Be a critical participant in the growth of your team members. Help them to craft improved products; become better developers; become better architects; become better business partners; and prepare them for bigger challenges. Be a practitioner and evangelist of Agile, DevOps and Test and Learn cultures.Qualifications 10+ years of recent experience in Java, C Sharp and C++ application development and the underlying service-based ecosystem. Experience in POS and restaurant technologies is preferred. 6+ years of people management experience. Experience leading leaders of teams. Experience in partnering with Product and Program Management teams. Experience in managing tier 1 and boutique technology providers. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience. Expertise in modernizing eCommerce applications into micro-services. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong strategic acumen and the ability to lead leaders to consensus. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
