Job Description

Fibroblast is currently seeking a Data Engineer who will have a direct impact on our data analytics strategy and execution. We?re a fast-paced startup, and we?re looking for someone with the right mix of hunger, courage, humor, smarts, energy, and hustle to keep expanding our analytics capabilities. In this role, you have the opportunity to serve the healthcare community through analyzing data sets, identifying actionable trends for our clients, standardizing data, cleaning data, and making meaningful decisions to guide the company?s growth. This role will report to the Chief Application Architect and work closely with the existing data team.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data

  • Finding data

  • Cleaning data

  • Standardizing data

  • Working with multiple data sources in order to validate data

  • Developing data pipelines and processes that are scalable, repeatable and secure

  • Working with clients and developers to meet data requirements

  • Presenting insights and notable findings to clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Must Haves:

  • Live within the United States

  • Experience with Python:

  • 2-5 years of Python experience

  • Coding Background via College or Boot Camp

  • Able to use Jupyter notebooks

  • Experience with the packages: pandas, numpy, and selenium

  • Experience working with large data sets

  • Strong communication skills

  • 2-5 years of Professional on the job experience

  • Nice to Haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting health care data

  • Experience with a cloud hosting provider. AWS a plus.

  • Experience with API data sources

  • Experience with Linux system administration

  • Data manipulation, cleaning, and analytics

  • Familiarity with agile development
