The Data Analytics Developer will play a fundamental role in the development of analytics solutions for Mintel’s employees and clients. This individual will use modern technologies (JS, Python, Looker, Snowflake) in support of that goal. Working on Mintel’s Futures team will provide exposure to all parts of our business, opportunities to drive change and innovation, and enthusiasm and support from executive team members.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in software development and is fascinated by data analytics and looking to pivot their career. What You Will Be Doing :

  • Working with team members, leadership and business stakeholders to identify, develop and communicate the value in new and innovative analytics use-cases

  • Leading and supporting analytical requirements gathering, both bottom up (by exploring data) and top down (by communicating with the end users / experts at Mintel) on various analytics initiatives across the business

  • Managing and contributing to the design of the analytics environment for Mintel Futures including the data mart table structures, BI dashboards and other analytical tools

  • Leveraging Python and Javascript to further enhance our analytics offerings

  • Advocating for innovative data analysis using the latest techniques and technologies across the organization

  • Working alongside data scientists, engineers and statisticians to implement advanced analysis where appropriate

  • Advocating the value of data analysis, being an active voice for analytics and an active participant within data governance initiatives
