The Business Analyst is responsible for the identification and execution of cost reduction opportunities across multiple categories of indirect spend including Supply Chain, Store Supplies, Marketing and Facilities. They support all elements of sourcing and cost reduction including cost modeling, bid sheet development, Request for Information (RFI)/Request for Proposal (RFP) execution, negotiation, contracting and reporting. Job activity is primarily project-based, including both tactical and strategic support to drive key buying decisions. Superior problem-structuring and problem-solving skills are required along with a strong ability to influence cross-functionally without authority.

Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
Develops and recommends optimal strategies for sourcing products. Executes competitive bid events and other strategic sourcing initiatives. Partners with others to lead end-to-end sourcing in select categories.
Performs detailed and moderately complex analysis of spend and operational data to develop baselines, improves cost-driver visibility, identifies product cost reduction opportunities and estimate savings.
Builds strong cross-functional relationships with internal contacts to understand each group’s business needs, and ensure effective collaboration
Supports the development of policies and procedures to drive standardization in the sourcing process. Helps to maintain repository of best practice tools, templates, documentation, and training materials.
Manages contract lifecycle, support stakeholders through contract approval, execution, and renewal via repository software.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Economics, Mathematics, Science or equivalent work experience.
2-4 years of experience, preferably in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Merchandising and/or Retail.
Ability to act independently and drive projects results.
Experience in strategic sourcing including RFx (Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, Request for Information) activities and negotiations.
High comfort level and skill working in cross-functional settings.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including knowledge of advanced functions (lookups, conditional statements, data validation, etc.).
Strong PowerPoint and business communication skills.
Experience with MS Access, SQL Server, VBA is a plus.
Travel: Travel may vary in length and duration.
