BankFinancial Application Manager in Burr Ridge, Illinois

Job Descriptions:

Summary: Under the direction of the SVP Technical Support, the Application Manager evaluates software applications to improve business operations and supervises the installation, upgrading and daily maintenance of the software applications used by the Bank. Additionally, the Application Manager may help train and communicate how to use the software across the organization. This position involves frequent troubleshooting, process improvements, and a service-oriented attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assesses business process requirements.

  • Manages systems application software implementation and upgrades.

  • Provides planning and implementation of desktop deployment and management systems.

  • Provides technical support and problem resolution related to business application software systems. When there is an issue with the software, the Application Manager will review the issue and come up with a solution.

  • Maintains the Bank’s Office 365 SharePoint and Teams environment.

  • Troubleshoots user application issues and provide solutions.

  • Creates, develops, and oversees protocols and procedures for software usage.

  • Interfaces with vendors to implement system integration with external applications.

  • Documents all actions in accordance with standard company procedures.

  • Works independently and as part of a team to solve complex problems.

Required Experience:


  • 5 years of application or network system experience.

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems - experience may be considered as substitute for educational requirements

  • Strongly customer service oriented and end user focused

  • Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft O365, SharePoint and Teams environment

  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Windows Servers operating system

  • Intermediate understanding of InTune and AutoPilot or other system management and deployment systems.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL

  • Basic knowledge of virtualization platforms

  • Basic knowledge of firewalls and network security

  • Basic understanding of storage systems and communication (SAN, iSCSI, FCoE)

  • Basic understanding of different protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, Active Directory, etc.)


MCSA certification (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) preferred
