ALDI IT Specialist - National Buying in Aurora, Illinois

In this role as an IT Specialist, you will work with IT Analysts and IT Project Managers to create, maintain and support solutions for the National Buying team. This team has a focus in the areas of assortment, tendering, forecasting, supply chain management, pricing & promotions, merchandising, and analytics. The ideal individual will be responsible for new functionality implementations and support of both international and national applications. As ALDI continues to improve software systems, it will be vital to rapidly learn and become a subject matter expert with new systems/applications. To be successful in this role, it is imperative a candidate demonstrates an ability to be a self-starter, collaborator and possess strong analytical skills. With this position comes a 6 weeks training course and on the job shadowing that will allow you to understand the day-to-day responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Answers incoming support requests in a timely manner; creates a ticket and documents issue through full and timely resolution.

• Provides support to users and contacts appropriate internal personnel or external vendors when further expertise is required.

• Assists with national and international projects, including documentation, training, and deployment.

• Performs testing of software and hardware solutions.

• Participates in the overall maintenance of existing software and hardware solutions, including the training and deployment of all changes and upgrades.

• Adheres to standards, policies, and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.

• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
